Steven Lamar Moore is an award-winning film composer, record producer, and recording artist whose work spans film, television, jazz, and contemporary instrumental music. A native of Compton, California, Lamar has built a diverse career combining cinematic storytelling with musical influences rooted in jazz, hip-hop, soul, orchestral music, and modern production.

As a composer, Lamar has scored more than 12 films, including CAGED and KINGS, with KINGS featured as part of REVOLT TV’s independent film programming. His television and streaming credits include “The UnXplained” with William Shatner, and in 2021, he collaborated with MusicLab as a staff composer, contributing music to Netflix productions including “Colin in Black & White” and Dave Chappelle’s "The Closer".

In 2024, Lamar received the Best Music Score Award at the OnSet ATL Film & TV Awards for his work on "Melanie & Kyle", directed by Tiara West. Continuing that momentum, in 2026, Lamar composed the score for “Gratuity”, which was selected for the HollyShorts Film Festival, continuing his growing presence in independent film.

Lamar is also a founding member of The Duedz, a music production group blending live musicianship with jazz, hip-hop, soul, and global influences. In 2026, The Duedz released Bossa Novaa, a laid-back fusion of bossa nova and contemporary Latin jazz.
